After some discussion and consultation between Elvorix and myself, we've adjusted the XP and multi-PC rules for The Waste. Please see "XP Rules and Multiple Characters" under "Rules of the Waste" for details.
TO CONVERT FROM STANDARD XP TO THE NEW EP SYSTEM
1. For each character you've played, do the following:
A. If they have gained a level, assign them 10EP. Then, subtract the amount of XP needed to gain that level from their total XP. If not, just use their total XP in the next step.
B. Divide the remainder by the number of XP required to reach the next level. I.e., since it takes 2500XP to reach level 3, and 1000XP to reach level 2, if your PC is level 2, divide by 1500. This should give you a number between 0 and 1.
C. Multiply this number by 10, rounding up to the nearest 0.1.
D. Add this number to any 10 you got for leveling to find the total number of EP that PC earned.
2. Now, total the EP across all the PCs you've played.
3. Return all your PCs to 0XP/EP.
4. Now, give one PC the full total EP you found in step 2. (Note: if you've played only one PC, most of this maneuvering is meaningless, so don't worry about it too much)
5. Take another pot of EP equal to your total from step 2, and divide it however you like (in 0.1EP increments) among any PCs except the first one and your EP "bank."
6. You're done! If you have any questions, just ask.
