Abolishing Slavery

First topic message reminder :

After joining a raid on a group of bandits and freeing a few slaves, Arik is feeling more confident in himself and his allies. With a map in hand, everyone (except Bat) returned to town to rest and obtain payment for the task. Perhaps there is more work to be done and more money to be earned out there!

Arik is seeking like-minded adventurers to scout out a few of the noted slave camps, slaughter the nasties and hopefully bring home a little more shiny!


Perhaps the week before, or after Christmas?

So... should we schedule two games then?! One Monday, one Thursday?

I don't think two games is going to be a feasible idea. According to the line up that you have posted there are 4 definite players for Monday and 5 definite players for Thursday, so I think we should just plan this game to take place on Thursday. That will leave some people out which sucks but I'm just trying to go for the day that will accommodate the most people.

Actually, I just checked my calendar and I can play on Thursday too.

ZeroTheFool, which of your characters are you going to bring? Everyone, if ZeroTheFool brings his warlock (striker), I'll bring my shaman (leader). If he brings his warlord (leader), should we double up on leaders and bring my shaman or double up on strikers and bring my monk? I haven't played either character, so I'm happy playing either one.

And can I pitch in any refreshments for the game? Snacks, sodas, beers, etc.?

Doubling up on Leaders is always welcome - especially since Elvorix should be pressing the difficulty even harder than our fairly dicey expedition last time. But upping damage output through multiple strikers is also always welcome.

Jarrol and his mighty thews are, of course, available - as a DM, I feel like I should cover a role if we need it. That said, I've been playing him a lot, so will also have my Seeker and Rogue ready to go (the former especially if we still have no Controller).

I think Biota's running a Druid (Controller), so we're covered there. So I'd say play what you're interested in and I can fill in the role gap since I'm not invested one way or the other on either of my characters.

I'll bring my warlord and warlock. I'll plan to play my warlord, but if need be I can switch to the warlock.

Cool. I'll bring my Shaman and Monk and will be ready to play either but will lean towards the Shaman.

Olufemi will be there, but he finds your goal of "abolishing" slavery amusingly naive.

Olufemi quietly chuckles at you. "A druid, mastered by the spirits of his body? You should be THEIR master, fool."

Arik extends his thanks to those who accompanied him on this excursion. He apologizes for thinking of his own life before others, and does slightly mourn the deaths of Swift and 'The Lesser.'

Olufemi returns from disdainfully dealing with the merchants and hands Iblis 150 gold bits, and then two silver. "I should have charged you for saving your life," he says.

OOC: Wednesdayboy, all is not lost! The way that the XP system for the game works, after the first encounter, you would have been able to "bank" 2.2EP. So you can start a new character with that much.

Xanthelasmus the Lesser graciously accepts his place in the spirit world by the Great All-Seer's side.
